DCRe™, digital cinema reality engine, is Trident’s proprietary technology to address the need for today’s high-end multimedia digital television application requirement. It embodies Trident’s DPTV™ design vision in offering highly integrated and common-chassis multimedia digital television design platform that is both a high quality television set as well as a multimedia display terminal for PC graphics. This design platform, as depicted in Figure 1, is able to receive and decode the conventional NTSC/PAL/SECAM broadcasting signals, to display PC VGA inputs and to receive high definition component inputs from the digital set-top box.
