Trident's advanced Digital Video Processing technology has been developed after years of R&D in the field of video and 2D/3D graphics. The DPTV™-3D is a highly integrated scan-conversion chipset solution that is designed for progressive TV/DVD player applications.

Individuals using the DPTV™-3D Video Processor will have the benefit of using a multi-featured device while gaining a price competitive advantage over existing solutions. The chip is designed with external CPU(s) and Display & Deflection Processor (DDP) for maximum design flexibility. The DPTV™-3D incorporates features such as a programmable 3D comb filter and a NTSC/PAL/SECAM TV decoder, 14-D picture enhancement algorithm, panorama aspect ratio, PIP/POP display and programmable zooming capability, progressive scan, and adaptive motion detect capability by using an advanced .25µm process technology. Also, the DPTV™-3D is designed for mass production and will support a 2, 4, or 8 MB SDRAM frame buffer configuration.
